Reno Fernandez is an attorney practicing commercial bankruptcy, reorganization, creditor recovery, liquidation and related litigation (including receiverships and assignments for the benefit of creditors) throughout California from offices in San Francisco and Modesto. Reno’s clients range from enterprises with assets or debts exceeding $100 million to small businesses and individuals in business, including technology and biotechnology companies, hotels, mortgage funds, medical clinics, banks, restaurants, insurance agents, landlords, commercial tenants, retail chains, farms, wineries, churches, nonprofits, real estate developers, brokers, franchisees and manufacturers. In one example, we brought a residential care facilities for the elderly out of bankruptcy with court approval of approximately $1.3 million in new financing, thereby preventing the facilities from shutting down, saving the residents from eviction, saving all jobs and preserving value for the owners. We have handled unique and challenging reorganizations and distressed asset sales, including an operating marina, data centers, a large YMCA, modern apartment complexes, commercial land in several states, intellectual property, commercial equipment, fraudulent transfer lawsuits, preference actions, avoidable transfers and complex transactions. Among other honors and activities, Reno will serve as a vice chair of the Insolvency Law Committee of the State Bar of California’s Business Law Section for 2016.
